To further recognize the importance of CPAs in business and industry, the AICPA has announced its second annual Business and Industry Hall of Fame Awards. The awards honor CPAs in business and industry that provide the vision, leadership, commitment, and strategic management ability necessary to help their organizations succeed.
"As the face of our economy and business changes, so does the new finance professional," said John Morrow, AICPA vice president for business and industry. "We want to encourage our members in industry to help their organizations identify opportunities in this new economy by honoring those whose contributions have proved to be exemplary and by promoting the CPA as the premier professional designation."
Nominees must be a CPA in business or industry. Winners will be announced on March 31 and honored at the AICPA Spring Industry Conference in Seattle. Winners will receive a complimentary membership and will be featured in an AICPA advertising campaign. The program is sponsored by Accountants on Call. Nominations can be made at (212) 596-6157 or www.acipa.org/halloffame. *
