CALL FOR DISTINGUISHED FINANCIAL MANAGERS

The Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) is calling for nominees for its Donald J. Scantlebury Memorial Award for distinguished leadership in financial management. The JFMIP is a joint undertaking of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Management and Budget, Office of Personnel Management, and General Accounting Office. Last year's winners were Sallyanne Harper, CFO, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Edward Renfrow, controller, state of North Carolina.

Nominees should be Federal, state, or local government employees that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in improving financial management. The nomination deadline is January 7, 2000.
