KPMG TAX PROFESSIONAL NAMED PRESIDENT OF AWSCPA

Rita Meouchy, a tax professional at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Washington, D.C., was named president-elect of the American Women's Society of CPAs. Meouchy will succeed to the presidency on July 1, 1999.

Meouchy will also co-chair next year's AWSCPA conference, to be held in Boston. The conference offers technical training and leadership seminars. Meouchy praises the invaluable opportunities for professional development and interaction that the society makes possible, and encourages women to become involved. *
