CENTER FOR MANAGEMENT ADVISORS HELPS CPAS IMPROVE CLIENT PERFORMANCE

CPAs looking to hone their advisory skills might want to consider the new Center for Management Advisors. The center is a membership organization for CPAs that provides educational resources to help the CPA better advise management clients. An emphasis is on the advice needed to help clients maximize the profitability and value of their business. Courses are offered in profit and value, family business assessment, and management performance assessment. Membership to the center also includes support resources, coaching assistance, marketing and networking tools, and answers to frequently asked questions.

The center is the brainchild of Pencor Mazur, consultants and advisors to CPA firms, providing them with networking, education, and marketing needs. CMA and Pencor Mazur have developed an accreditation built upon courses taken through the center called the Certified Professional Management Advisor (CPMA). The CPMA is conferred only on CPAs and requires attendance for nine or 10 days of courses and the successful completion of a certification examination. The first examination will be offered in the spring of 1999

For more information about the center, contact Pencor Mazur at (800) 869-0491 or info@pencorltd.com. *
