CRAIG APPOINTED EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Louis Grumet, publisher of The CPA Journal, recently announced the appointment of James L. Craig, Jr., as editor-in-chief. Craig had been the managing editor of the Journal since 1989, following nearly 30 years in public accounting. In making the appointment, Grumet, who is also the executive director of the New York State Society of CPAs, stated that it was in recognition of Craig's commitment to excellence and long service in bringing a wide range of professional issues and important topics to the Journal's 38,000 readers. Grumet noted, "The Journal's role is to equip CPAs with the information they need to do their jobs more intelligently and effectively, whether they are still active in the profession or pursuing a career in business, industry, education, or government. Jim Craig has kept that objective in focus." *
