The Delphi Group said that KPMG won its award based on a rigorous set of criteria that required the firm to show how well its knowledge management process--

    * advanced the state-of-the-art in knowledge management,

    * showed quantifiable payback,

    * fostered a knowledge-sharing culture,

    * created a learning organization, and

    * improved the quality of life for employees or client.
