The U.S. General Accounting Office is seeking
experienced financial auditors to lead or participate in the largest financial
audit in the world--the audit of the Federal government. The first ever
government-wide financial statement and audit thereof is scheduled for
the Federal government's 1997 fiscal year to be completed by March 1998.
As it now stands, the U.S. General Accounting Office plans to be the principal
auditor for the government-wide audit: Some portions of it may be contracted
out to the private sector. As a result, the GAO needs auditors to perform and supervise the work
and is in the midst of a huge recruitment program. It is seeking the following

The
