THE CPA JOURNAL HOME PAGE WINS TOP FIVE ACCOUNTING WEB SITE AWARD
The CPA Journal's web site (www.cpajournal.com) was judged one of the Top Five Accounting Sites on the World Wide Web by Harcourt Brace Professional Publishing. The criteria used are technological features, timeliness, extent of content, and quality of organization. The Journal's web site had to pass a four-point test:
* The site is related to the accounting industry;
* The site hosts valuable content;
* The site is well designed and technologically impressive; and
* The site stands out as being the "cream of the crop."
Editor of the site, Michael Rosencrantz, was asked what it meant to be given the award. "It is great to receive the award after having been on the web for such a short time (since December 1996). It will be a challenge to keep the site active and current. Readers should remember we are linked to sources of all the Federal and state tax forms, including extension requests. Also, we now have the table of all new and recently effective pronouncements of standard setters. Give us a look." *
The
CPA Journal is broadly recognized as an outstanding, technical-refereed
publication aimed at public practitioners, management, educators, and
other accounting professionals. It is edited by CPAs for CPAs. Our goal
is to provide CPAs and other accounting professionals with the information
and news to enable them to be successful accountants, managers, and
executives in today's practice environments.
