Itzak Rotman, chair of the organizing committee and past chair of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel recently toured the U.S. to promote the Sixth Jerusalem Conference on Accountancy to be held in Jerusalem on November 10-14, 1996. Titled, "Accountancy Today--A Business or a Profession?" the program features leading spokespersons from the International Federation of Accountants (president Juan Herrera), the Federation des Experts Comptable Europeens (FEE) (president Jens Roder), the AICPA (vice chair Robert Mednick), the International Accounting Standards Committee (chair Michael Sharpe), and many more.

The city of Jerusalem is celebrating 3,000 years in 1996. Visitors will be able to participate in planned festivities offered by the Municipality of Jerusalem.

Itzak Rotman brought copies of the registration form and brochures on the event with him when he visited the Journal's offices. For copies, write The CPA Journal or contact assistant editor Michael Rosencrantz over the Internet cpaj@luca.com. *
