          Search Software Personal Help

The CPA Journal is now available on Luca OnlineTM, the online service of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Luca Online users can read the selected articles online or download the text and print it on their own PCs. Users can search for articles by title, author, keyword, publication date, or words in the article or article summary. Currently, the database of articles covers January 1989 to July 1995. New material is being added on an incremental basis.
In addition to being able to search the database of articles by specific criteria, Luca Online includes a subject filter that allows users to limit their search using one of many predefined subject areas. The predefined subjects range from "1099" to "ZZZZ Best Management Company."
To access The CPA Journal on Luca Online, select "News and Publications" from the main menu. When the News & Publications screen appears, select "The CPA Journal" from the buttons along the left-hand side of the screen. The initial screen of the article database lists all the available articles. Use the find button to narrow the list.
Presently The CPA Journal data base is available only to existing Luca users. Within a few months a CPA Journal section of Luca, strictly for non-NYSSCPA Journal subscribers, will be unveiled. The plan is to distribute the software to Journal subscribers as part of an upcoming issue. *
